Romans 13:11-12 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. We are in the “last minutes to midnight” and now more than ever we believers need to have our armor on and to be letting our light shine. For the unsaved, today is the day of salvation. Zechariah 12: 2-3 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
I have posted dozens and dozens of links and articles in the past month alone, which document that the fulfillment of this promise God made long ago, is taking place right now. Look at all the nations and leaders who are in an uproar over Israel, not the least of which are leaders in Iran, Russia, Egypt, and here in the U.S. So prominent is the Israeli concern that Romney made a stop there on the campaign trail, and Obama plans to go in September.
I mentioned yesterday, the fact that governments and economies all over the world are in a state of turmoil right now. A shaking-up is underway. (Isaiah 2:11- 21) It’s not a new thing, as far as history is concerned, for empires to rise and fall, and for territories to change hands, alegiences to shift and re-align.
In the second chapter of Daniel you can find the story of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in which he saw a statue (starting with verse 32)This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away.
God gave Daniel the interpretation, that the head was Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian empire. The Chest and Arms of silver were Medo-Persia (Daniel 5:28) , Stomach and thighs of brass was Greece (Daniel 10:20), and the two legs of Iron were the Roman empire (which encompassed the days of Paul’s ministry and lead up to the time when “the Messiah should be cut off” (Daniel 9:26)
The seven world empires of Revelation 13 encompass these 5 empires, (as the Egyptian and Syrian empires which had already gone before Nebuchadnezzar’s day). The empire represented by the two feet of iron mixed with clay, is the endtimes empire of the seventieth week of Daniel. (the seventy weeks of Daniel were interrupted at the moment Messiah was cut off, during which time of interruption, was the mystery of the church (which was not in view for Daniel) to take place, also known as the Age of the Gentiles or Age of Grace, and includes the time we are living in righ now. This final empire will soon arise, but only once the church is caught away in the rapture (harpazo ἁρπάζω Strongs G726), will the Antichrist be revealed when he confirms the “covenant with many” (Daniel 9:27)
What is so exciting is that we can now see how things are such that this can happen in the immediate future.
Consider the Islamic caliphate to dominate the world “for Allah”. Though for years most end-times scholars only spoke of this final empire coming out of Europe and a revived Roman empire, whereas more recent speculation sees the Islamic nations being central in this final phase, the fact that there are 2 feet leaves open the possibility that the two schools of thought are not mutually exclusive.
The recent Jack Van Impe broadcast suggests that in the book of Daniel’s final government represented as the two feet, with ten toes of the statue, the duality will be a government that includes both European and Muslim elements. This coincides with the final beast of Revelation 13:11 who had 2 horns like a lamb (“like a lamb” implies Jesus, but…………) and spake as a dragon (thus a false Jesus or anti-christ -the Dragon always refers to Satan). We see this dragon in Revelation 12:3 with ten horns and seven crowns, and in 13:1 with 7 heads and 10 horns (see also Revelation 17: 3,7, 12, 16 and compare with 4th Beast in Daniel 7:7,8, 20 and 24).
So we see in near-distance view, this coming of a 10-division final world empire that will ultimately hand over all power to the final beast/Antichrist. Jack Van Impe states thata The Club of Rome has outlined these 10 world-divisions this way:

One reason the Obama administration is keeping such a tight rein on Israel, is that he has every intention of recognizing a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as it’s capital.
Ahmadinejad has said he will “rid he world of the Jews” so that his Imam-Mahdi can come. Psalm 83 pretty much encompasses Ahmadinejad’s aspirations for Israel. The Bible foretold that the Arab nations would come together to try and destroy Israel. Israel is indeed a cup of trembling and burdensome stone.
