You could hear this sound this very night….

Standard

Tap-tap-tap! Pffff testing! Check?……. Is this thing on?

Cricket, cricket cricket.

Hmmm.  It’s awfully quiet out there.  Listen, I know it seems bad.  “Where is the promise of His appearing?”  Do you find yourself wondering?  It seems that everyone I hear from, everyone I talk to, has difficulties they are dealing with.  Isn’t it crazy how the world keeps turning on its axis when at the same time, nothing is okay?  I am not speaking to “just anybody” here, but to the Body of Christ.  Do you lay your weary head on the pillow each night and ask; “God, how much longer?”.  I’ll be honest with you, it’s getting harder and harder for me as I continue as a watchman, and see stories that grow more despicable each week.  So much so that I have refused to carry some of the accounts that other, similar blogs are continuing to carry, because it’s just reprobate.  The Bible says it is a sin even to bring some things to mind.  Little Muslim girls married off to old Muslim men to pay off parent’s debts.  Most of what came out in the Gosnell Trial, the exponentially worsening bullying on the part of the sodomite agenda.  And Obama’s unbelievable arrogance.  Today I read about a baby that was taken from the parents by CPS because they dared to request a second opinion about a heart procedure.  Eric Holder is saying that American parents do not have a right to home school their kids, while schools are acting more and more like they own your kids, and already they are forcing kids into very uncomfortable exposure to gay propaganda such as assigning girls to “lesbian kiss” or elementary school kids forced to watch graphic video “cartoons” about things that frankly even adults have no business viewing.  It is getting dark.  Real, real dark in this world.

That is to be expected just before the Son rises and bursts through the clouds!

He is coming for those who are watching and waiting.  He is never early or late.  He’ll be here.  Could be, this very night.

Don’t let anyone or anything steal your blessed hope.   If you haven’t viewed Terry James’ interview with Gary Stearman, or read his book HeavenVision, I think you’ll be blessed if you go watch that interview now.  I believe that Terry James was given this vision because of his dedication as a watchman, that he and all of us who are watching, would be encouraged to finish the race.  Don’t give up.  We’re in the home stretch.

Are You Saved? Have You Been Born Again?

Video

I have been saved, born again by the grace of God, by faith. You can read the story of my life, and know that I am not some goodie-two-shoes who thinks I’m better than someone else, nor am I someone apt to get in your face and try to convert you.  I just care.  The opportunity for you to escape the horrors that are coming upon this earth soon, are running out.  Yes I do believe the Bible is God’s written Word to man, so that we may know Him, and know the things that are coming.  The world as a whole, for the most part, and much to their detriment, have rejected God.  They have bought into the lie that “in the beginning, there was nothing, and that exploded, and from nothing, came all that there is”.  They have believed that a baby is not a baby until it is born, and before that it is merely a blob of tissue not viable on it’s own.  That is the same logic that leads people to believe it is acceptable to kill someone because of their heritage or skin color, or because they have gotten old and can’t do much if anything to “contribute to society”.  There is right, and there is wrong, there is good, and there is evil, and the further mankind moves away from God, the less they even recognize the difference.  God has said those who will not retain God in their memory, will be given over to believe lies.  If the Lord has been tugging at your spirit, if some friend or loved one has told you about your need to be born again, and you have wrestled with it, I’m asking you now, now is the time, please do not put it off.  Someone is praying for you.

Truly there is coming a moment when those who have been saved, will be taken out of this world, and those who have not, will be left here.  Revelation is full of the horrors that will take place on this Earth at that time.  Yes, I know plenty of people laugh at this.  But they will not be laughing on that day when it actually does take place.  And they won’t be laughing for the ensuing years of Tribulation.  Animals will die on a massive scale, famine will envelop the world, millions of people will perish. The “insanity” of weather and nature we have seen in recent months and years will be nothing compared to what will take place then.
A man will appear on the scene with supposed solutions to all the worlds problems and the world will be so desperate they will bow down to him.  He will be believed to be the Messiah which the Jews have long awaited, but they will learn that he is not, when he turns on them.  Are we in that period even now?  Some Christians believe that we are.  However, I believe what we are seeing now are mere foreshadows.  These things are not going to “settle down” and “return to normal”.

I am just a 48 year old mom with an upbringing in which I was blessed to be exposed to the teachings of the Bible from a young age.  I walked away from that for a time, I tried the world’s way of living, and my patient Lord and Savior welcomed me back like the prodigal that I had become, but with open arms and undiminished love for me.  You can read my blogged book in the sidebar and my testimony above.  This blog is mostly about news as it relates to these “last days” we are living in, but it is also my own personal expression of gratitude to God, who I know to be a God of love and compassion.  Life is not always easy.  The way is not always smooth.  Matthew 7:1Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.  Jesus Himself is that Gate.  You don’t have to understand that fully in order to accept it.  I hope you will do so today.

Remember Grace

Standard

As Christians we are called to live an examined life.  We are to be set apart, in the world and not of it.  In our conversation, in our character, in our convictions, in our conduct, we should be a reflection of God.  The Christian life is designed to purify us, through trials and tribulations, struggles and losses.

And then there is GRACE.  Yes, we strive.  Yes we have a standard.  But when we compare ourselves to that standard, we will always fall woefully short.  Because the standard is Jesus and we are human, still subject to and limited by the flesh.  When we falter, when we are tired, when we have been scooped out and hollowed by the demands of Earthly life, God understands.  He is not so much of a taskmaster that He doesn’t understand the need to pull aside once in a while and just be still.

We are driven too hard by compulsory pressures.  We have to take stock once in a while and ask ourselves what the benefit is of all the ways we spend our time.  Even in terms of our jobs, or the kid’s activities, and yes, even church.  Sure, people are counting on us because we said we would go/do/be this, that or the other.  But how’s your marriage?  Is your spouse getting the time with you they deserve?  Are your kids?  How about the Lord? I mean, just sitting still, reading His Word and chatting with Him about what you have going on and saying thank you as you enumerate your blessings?

We ask more of ourselves than God does sometimes, I do believe.  We forget that God’s approval and love for us is not performance-based.  Our own confidence and self-approval may fluctuate wildly from one moment to the next, but God never changes.

Now, I know we live in a world where self-esteem has become the ultimate achievement.

I am not really talking to those of you who are “fine the way you are”, but rather to those who really live each moment conscientiously, striving to be a good steward of all your resources, whether internal or external.  People who put others first.  Moms who aspire to be a Proverbs 31 woman, teens who diligently aspire to rise above the cesspool of secular school and be a witness.  Businessmen who “finish last” for being honest, but are honest anyway.  Dads who work 65 hours a week, pay child support and still have to deal with a vindictive ex-wife who talks them down in front of their kids.  Those people who are doing the best they can, but never get ahead.  God sees.  He is taking note.  It is not wasted.  He is pleased with you.  And in a world where there are no standards anymore other than to be as rich and as hard and as invincible as possible, you still are willing to submit to God’s measure of value, though it is utter foolishness to the world.

My friend, we are almost there.  You can do it.  Keep caring even when it feels like you are the last.  Keep being honest, even if it costs you everything.  Keep obeying the Lord, even if they mock you.  Stand firm, and while others lift their heads in defiance, bow yours in humility and ask God for Grace for one more day.  Do not give sway to fear or to flesh.  Hang on until you can’t and then trust the Lord’s hand to catch you.

It’s okay. We aren’t all we hoped to be, but God has been working in ways we didn’t even know, and some day soon, we will understand it all.  God will unroll the tapestry and show us the upper side.

“Walk On” by Sandra T. Lloyd©

Underneath the overshadowing of my greatest fears

You walk with me while I struggle to see through the blur of my tears

You hold my hand and help me to walk on

When I knew I had nothing more to give, You made me put one foot in front of the other, promising you would take care of the rest, if I’d only do that.

“Just hold my hand, my child.  Never let go”, You said.  “That’s all I ask of you.  I will see to the rest”.

Somewhere out there tonight, while I am resting peacefully, there is a light on in a house in these wee hours.  A man is suffering, and holding Your hand in his own private darkness, while his wife lovingly does what she promised to do, on their wedding day.

And they walk on.

And somewhere tonight, in a poor neighborhood a woman falls into bed, exhausted, heartbroken as her husband slips away, leaving her in her grief, to hold it all together while no one seems to share her burdens.

You ask her to walk on.

“But we can’t, Lord”, we cry.

“Why should we?”, we ask.

“Because I have a plan”, You answer.

“But I just don’t see how all things work together for good!”

“My child, nothing touches you without my permission.  I will not call upon you to endure anything that I will not also provide a way for you to bear it.  Do not concern yourself with the details.  Some things you do not need to know.  Do you trust Me?”

“Yes, Lord, but it is so hard”.

“I know””, the Savior said, as a great drop of blood fell from His brow and mingled with the tears He cried for me………………..

“But walk on”

Looking forward to 2013

(No, I didn´t take that from Obama. I wrote the
original way before he was elected. We Christians do not need to imitate the
world)

“See. I will send you the prophet Elijah
before that great and dreadful day comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers
to their children and the heart of the children to their fathers: or else I will
come and strike the land with a curse.”
Malachi 4:5.

The ministry
of reconciliation

“Therefore if anyone be in Christ, he is a new
creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who
reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of
reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not
counting men’s sins against them. As ambassadors committed with the ministry of
reconciliation, as though God were making an appeal through us, we implore you
on Christ‘s behalf:
Be reconciled to God.”

2 Corinthians
5:17-20.

Distance and separation

Definition of “Far
away”
in The Fuegian language of
Tierra del Fuego. A seven syllable word
which means:

“They stare at each other, each waiting for the other to
do what each wants but is not able to.”

One can appreciate the rich
and insightful imagery of primitive language, but the question remains: Is it a
matter of inability or unwillingness?

When the Lord Jesus was approaching
the hour of His death, He himself prayed giving us a model prayer: “Father
not my will, but yours be done”

What keeps us separated? Basically it
is our pride and unwillingness to humble ourselves. We prefer to remain in a
prison of our own making, when the key has been given to us that could release
us from being captive to our own will and stubbornness.

Every argument
won in a verbal conflict at the detriment of forgiveness and reconciliation ends
up being one more brick we use in building a wall of separation protecting us
from the very ones that Christ has sent our way to help them in their struggle
to find forgiveness and freedom from spiritual captivity.

Every argument
won ends up being one more shovel full in digging deeper the ditch of distance
between persons whose ministry is to be a bridge builder, not a wall builder or
a ditch digger.

The remedy

Do we have the key? Only God can
give us the key to freedom.

Isaiah declares: “He will be the sure
foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;

The fear of the Lord is the KEY to this treasure.” Isaiah
33:6.

Do we need a sure foundation in our present time of confusion,
perplexity, and contemplating our navel and worshiping the earth to find the
solution with the greatest brains as guides in our cultures of death?

The Lord Jesus to John the apostle in Revelation chapter 3:7: “These
are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he
opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

There is a
time and a season for everything under the sun, but Jesus is sending his
servants to proclaim that “NOW is the day of salvation and that there is no
other name under heaven but the name of Jesus by which man can be saved”

The only way men can experience real peace and reconciliation with
others is to first be reconciled with God

Oh, that we would heed the
command of our Lord Jesus to build bridges and tear down brick by brick the
strongholds in our hearts that we have erected patiently, day after day, month
after month until it becomes the very fabric that makes up the callous covering
of protection keeping other people from being welcome in our hearts.

So
looking forward to this New Year’s eve, this is my hope and wish for the New
Year for the readers of this blog:

Be reconciled first with God through
recognizing and accepting the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus for you, He brought
peace to us who were enemies of God; receive the pardon and salvation that are
already paid for by His blood shed for you on the cross and the free gift of
eternal life available to all who humbly turn to His light and life from their
slavery to sin.

If you already know the Lord Jesus, His peace to you and
may His grace and love abide and rule in your heart as you seek to do His will,
to be fruitful and keep looking for His soon return.

Heavenly Father, by
your grace and the power of your love through your Holy Spirit, free the
prisoners in our families, our churches. You alone can penetrate through and
behind those brick walls and fill those ditches of separation. You alone can
heal bitter, broken hearts and restore us to our call to love you and serve you
as we obey your command to love each other sincerely from the heart and serve
our brothers in humility and submission to your will and purpose in our lives.

His Name is a strong tower and we are victorious by the blood of the
Lamb and the word of our testimony that Jesus alone is Lord of Lord and King of
Kings and worthy of our praise. Blessed be His holy Name. Amen.
