This looks like an awesome resource for History Teachers, Home-schoolers and
families. A fun way to learn about our Constitution! I saw it in the WND superstore online. Apparently it’s been out for a while but I didn’t know about it. Did you?

My dear friend Shofar is venturing into the nitty-gritty of issues that Christians often like to skirt around. I think it is crucial that we get real about these struggles.
X-Rated
Started 3-23-13:X-Rated-Hot Topics!
LINKS for ‘Hot Topics’-
About stuff people are interested in or have questions about, don’t want to discuss openly and objectively, and stuff a lot of people would rather ignore, yet it’s in their face more and more these days! I’ve called this page ‘X-Rated’, but it is not about Hollywood movies or fantasy. It’s about REALITY that is highly dysfunctional; plagued with many kinds of addictions; suffers from many forms of abuse; brings out the disgusting, vile, perverted; are dark and hidden or open and exposed, and becoming more and more prevalent. It is not only unsuited for minor children, but for EVERYONE! It goes beyond profanity, nudity, sex scenes and violence in PG-13 and R-rated movies, but is about REAL LIFE.And whether we like to admit it or not, X-Rated stuff is PUBLIC ENEMY No. 1 that is sucking the life out of our society, and is SATAN’s MOto steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10).
There was something I meant to post yesterday, but forgot! You guys know how I like to point out interesting blogs. I have been following this particular one for nearly a year. The gentleman refers to himself as “The Atheist Pastor” and his tagline says “A Blog For Struggling Believers”.
I know as does the blog author, that the moniker “Atheist Pastor” is at once controversial, but he doesn’t seem to be doing that as some sort of schtick or gimmick. Frankly I think there is more honor in admitting that even as he believes, he still struggles with doubt, than feigning “certainty”. Faith is called faith for a reason.
This going around acting like we have it all figured out, really needs to stop with Christians. The idea that “knowing Jesus” makes everything okay, is a bald-faced lie.
It is easy enough to be put off by it in the “name-it-claim-it” culture of a lot of churches today, but the more conservative, traditional and “fundamental” churches are often just as bad in their own way in that while they admit salvation doesn’t guarantee peace, prosperity, or smooth sailing, they still demand you smile your way through it all. I didn’t sign up to be an actress. God made us with an entire range of emotions for a reason. I don’t have any bone of contention with those people who have real peace. But real peace cannot be faked, imitated, emulated in any way. And even someone who has never heard of Jesus, can spot the difference. I think that we have done a great disservice to the Great Commission by this tendency. The Proverbs are full of warnings against this type of thing. Laughter in the ears of a person who is grieving, is like putting salt into an open wound . Pretending life is easy and all it takes is “enough faith” and any and every obstacle will move out of your way, is an insult to the intelligence of the people of the world who live in reality and know better. I have seen God do great things, but miracles are called miracles because they don’t happen every day. For the most part, God works in ways we can’t comprehend.
So anyway, I didn’t mean to get so far into all of that, because Mr. Park’s blog speaks for itself. I just find it extremely refreshing as someone who is a Christian and has wrestled my own boatload of frustrations with “churchity churchianity”. I resent the game-playing of those who wear the Name, but don’t live by the Book. I can only imagine how it makes others feel who are new to the whole thing. People are starved for something REAL. The apostles walked with Jesus, talked with Him, saw Him die, saw Him alive again afterwards, and watched Him ascend into heaven, and they still had doubts. The children of Israel saw many miracles, and the Holy Spirit pillar of smoke by day and fire by night. They had lots of doubts. I do understand the Biblical call for separation from the worldly things, however, Jesus did not come to Earth to clean people up. He came to redeem and justify us, and create us “anew”. Clean heart, new man/woman. Sanctification is a process the we have little to do with other than the yielding to it. Check out the Atheist Pastor for yourself, and let me know what you think.
“Countdown to Eternity” ~ and~ “End Time Bible Prophecy”
Countdown to Eternity
Whenever I discover another watchman sounding the alarm here on WordPress, I like to let my readers know about them. ShaneMark71 started his blog in February, and I discovered him a couple of weeks ago. I get the feeling that although this particular blog is new, this isn’t Shane’s first go at running a blog. Either that, or he has been called and equipped. I very much appreciate fellow bloggers out there who are working diligently to stay on top of the news as it relates to prophecy in these days we are living in. It is a calling. I imagine that like the firemen and EMS who came from all over to help at Ground Zero, we belong to a fraternity of sorts, and we’ll enjoy putting faces to the names when we gather on the other side.
Check out ShaneMark71′s About page, and be sure to like and follow him over at Countdown to Eternity.

End Time Bible Prophecy
Gordan King, a.k.a. gdk4god, has been up and running since October of last year. I am not sure when it was that I discovered Gordon’s blog. But I’ve followed ever since. I think from time to time, the Lord sends in reinforcements. I consider Terry James and Todd Strandberg, Jack Kelley, Ron Graham, Grant Phillips (et al) over at Rapture Ready, to be the pioneers in the endeavor to keep Christians informed about critical events and developments that are leading right up to the return of Christ. They have been at this for years. None of us is trying to compete with the pros. The rest of us are just a few extra grunts whom God nudged into the fray here at the end, to hold up their arms like Aaron and Hur did for Moses. The Lord has His workers on lots of other blog platforms as well.
For those of you who like my blog for volume of content, you will definitely want to follow End Time Prophecy if you aren’t already. Click HERE for his “About” page.
From time to time I like to share favorite blogs, and my ‘regulars’ will already be aware of these first two, but for recent-comers to ServeHimInTheWaiting, I want to feature these again because it is so important for folks not to just focus on the heavy stuff, but to also recall that the Lord is our burden-bearer, refuge, and strength.
When I first started blogging, one of the first blogs I discovered and followed, was The End Time on Blogspot, authored by Elizabeth Prata. She and I have never met in person, though we have exchanged e-mails a few times. Little by little as you read her blogs, you get a peek at Elizabeth as a person (she rarely speaks directly about herself or her life, because her focus is her Savior). What I have learned about her is that she has an amazing mind, true gifts of expression, of spiritual discernment, and of seeing the beauty of God’s creation everywhere she looks. Most evident in her writing, is her heart for God which I know God must especially treasure. I hope you will be as blessed by this beautiful testimony from her blog as I was. I hope she doesn’t mind I borrowed her title for this post.
Another blog which never fails to bless is written by a lady affectionately known as Sis Caddo. As with Elizabeth, there is just something about Sis Caddo’s spirit, that is irresistible. A sweetness and prevailing love for others that soothes the soul. You can read any post on her blog, and you’ll come away knowing beyond doubt, Who is her greatest love. You will also learn that she gives freely from a heart which is no stranger to pain and loss, yet still she loves unreservedly. She has an astoundingly deep well of poetic and creative ability because her talent springs from the Lord, our well of Living Water!
Stop by her blog and get to know her. You’ll be glad you did!
Now, here is another gal whom I will warn you, you’ll be challenged to keep up with her! She is a published author and a real dynamo who has so many blogs she authors and contributes to, that I’ve lost count! Her name is Lyn Leahz, and her post about “The Prophecy of the Final Pope” might interest you in light of today’s big announcement. (Though I must add this disclaimer on this particular article: I have my reservations about Tom Horn, because of his extensive use of non-canonical sources in his writings). Still, as always, I see the value of knowing what is being said on these topics, leaving it to the individual believer to do their own due diligence.
And then there is dear LoopyLoo! What can I say about Loopy? She is a sweetheart, and her blog always glorifies the Lord. She covers a lot of different things pertinent to Christians, but best of all she is really good at finding just the right video, story, or sermon to inspire and encourage (although the golden-eyed blinking kitty cat still kinda gives me the jitters. Kinda like the painting whose eyes follow you through out a room, lol).
The dynamic duo of Liz and Wyman Au provide the WordPress readership with lots of food for thought. I always love to hear from them and will be forever grateful for their sweet words and prayers and deeds. They make me long for the day when we shall all meet our many far-flung brothers and sisters in that family reunion by and by. (Click on their names to visit each of their blogs).
Last but not least on this “sharing the love” list:
My friend Jean-Louis
I had to save this guy for last because just like many others I have met in the blog world, there is no doubt that the Lord has orchestrated these e-quaintances. (Did I just coin a new word? Cool!). In the same year when I would lose my dad, as well as a family-friend who was also like a dad to me, as the Lord led the development of my blog He brought J-L alongside as a friend, a resource, as someone who has much life-experience and wisdom and discernment to offer, and as someone who has prayed over the purpose and progression of my blog and for my family during this time. He has an uncanny ability to sense when I push beyond my capacity and need to rest in the Lord, or need encouragement or insight. He is a great story-teller, and has a subtle sense of humor that sneaks up on you sometimes, much like that of my own dear husband Garrett. He and his wife and daughter have just been moving from one home to the other, which has kept him busy, but I look forward to more of his original writing forthcoming. This post today gave me a good chuckle as it pokes lighthearted fun at ourselves as Christians.
Ok, that one was so funny, here is another one. But I have to warn you as a parent of christian youth, it’s a little scary in it’s honesty! (I know it’s not like this at OUR youth group, right Adam, Sherry, Ashley, Amanda, Ben, Isaac…..? )
A shout-out also goes to my researcher and frequent-contributor BB, a.k.a. “Snerdley”
These are just a few of the friends and “siblings-in-the-Lord” who have been a blessing to me here in the church-of-God-online!
But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” (Daniel 12:4).
Does this prophecy, the famous one in Daniel, mean that technology and science and widespread travel are a sign of the end times? Yes and no.
